What are the Costs?

What price would you put on a programme of education that will assist you to achieve the standard necessary to pass the Institutes advanced driving test? Remember, that in addition to probably saving money by reducing fuel consumption, lowering maintenance bills and possibly cheaper insurance - benefits enjoyed by many of our members - advanced driving skills could save the life or serious injury of you and/or your passengers - your family?
The Norfolk & Norwich Group of Advanced Motorists supports the IAM "Skills for Life" programme:

The Institute offers a combined programme with test for £139. This also includes a free copy of the Institutes book "How to be a better driver/rider" and a copy of the highway code.
These costs as of 1st January 2009.

Other Costs
The only other costs you will be required to undertake is the cost associated with running your vehicle for the drives with your Observer. If your are taking the Motorcycle course a donation of £10 per run to cover the expenses of your Observer may also be required. The group may suggest appropriate reading material, which is optional and at the Associates discretion.
